Muddy Girl Leathers
Retired Army veteran Maria O'Connor makes leather goods by hand — wallets, bags, notebook covers and custom work.

Handcrafted leather goods · Tampa, Florida · Service-disabled veteran-owned
Maria O'Connor spent twenty years in the United States Army. Fifteen of them, she says, were spent managing diverse teams and getting complex jobs done.
She didn't leave that behind when she retired. She brought it into her own business.
"The leadership principles and discipline I learned during this time continue to guide me today as I navigate the challenges of running my own company."
That company is Muddy Girl Leathers, and everything it sells is made by hand. Wallets. Bags. Coin holders. Bracelets. Notebook covers. Valet trays. Even pirate hats. The cowhide is hand-dyed, and she tells customers up front that natural marks in the leather are part of the deal — that is what real leather looks like.
She describes her work this way:
"My products are crafted with passion and designed for adventure — unique leather goods that truly embody the spirit of the outdoors."
No two pieces come out the same. And if you have something particular in mind, she takes custom orders — just send her a message through the site.
Twenty years serving the country. Now she's making something that lasts.
